Kingston – Rain forced no play in the morning session on the second day of the second Test between West Indies and Pakistan at Sabina Park in Jamaica.

The Pakistanis were set to continue from their overnight total of 212 for four with Faheem Ashraf not out on 23 and Mohammad Rizwan not out on 22.

But not a ball was bowled, and umpires Joel Wilson and Gregory Brathwaite instructed that the lunch interval be brought forward half-hour earlier than scheduled with the hope that conditions improve.

An inspection is scheduled for 1:45 p.m. East Caribbean Time

The weather forecast for the island from the Met Office at the Norman Manley International Airport indicated conditions would become cloudy with isolated showers and thunderstorms mainly across sections of central and western parishes.

Summarised scores:

Pakistan 212 for four (Fawad Alam 76 retired, Babar Azam 75, Faheem Ashraf 23 not out, Mohammad Rizwan 22 not out; Kemar Roach 3-49) vs West Indies.
