A Badd Connection (ABC) restored their dominance in local hockey with a stunning 3-1 penalty-shoot win over Du Badd in the men’s final of the Barbados Hockey Festival on Sunday at the Wildey astroturf.

Du Badd looked on course to capturing the title when Derwin Burrowes gave them a first-half lead on an evening of anticipation and tension.

He capitalised on a penalty corner and flicked the ball past Dario Greenidge to open the scoring.

But ABC slowly edged their way back into the contest and were level with seven minutes remaining when Donavan Smith’s deflected shot flew into the goal following a set piece on the side of the circle. (AGB)
