The family of Lee Bovell, who died after an accident last Friday night, is trying to come to grips with his death.

His mother, 64-year-old Margaret Bovell, remembered him yesterday as someone “who was totally generous and there was no discrimination when it came to age, colour or sex”.

“He was the type of person who would give his last to the point where he would bring friends here and they ended up living here. He said that even if I had to cut his portion of food in half, that was all right with him.”

Bovell was at home when she found out about her only child’s death. She said one of her son’s friends came to their Rose Hill, St Peter residence and informed her about the tragic news.

Around 10:10 p.m., 39-year-old Lee was involved in a collision with a vehicle while walking along the road at the junction of KNR Husbands Highway and Church Street in St Peter. (SB)
