Spartan and Barbados off-spinner Chaim Holder enjoyed his first taste of North American cricket last weekend as he suited up for US Minor League team Houston Hurricanes.

Holder made his debut for the Texan club last Saturday in their seven-wicket win over St Louis Americans at the American Cricket Academy and Club (ACAC) Park in Missouri.

He took two wickets for 14 runs from his four-over spell and contributed from the field with a run out. His second game the following day against the same opposition was not as successful as the Hurricanes fell to a six-wicket defeat.

The crafty spinner only managed one wicket for 33 runs in three overs spell and was out for four.  (NM)
