A large number of people turning up for COVID-19 testing because of contact tracing, is causing a delay at the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

In a media release, the Ministry of Health and Wellness said some samples could not be processed and would have to be retaken, and this would lead to results coming back after the expected 48-hour time frame.

The Ministry apologised for the inconvenience caused to members of the public and said health officials would continue to work on improving the system. (PR/SAT)
