20-year-old man killed at St Paul’s Avenue

The man who was shot and killed on Monday night has been identified as Shae Antone Hackett of Dunlow Lane, Bay Street, St Michael.

The body of the 20-year-old was found at St Paul’s Avenue, Bayville, also in the same parish, after people in the area reported hearing a volley of shots just after 10 p.m.

Police from the Hastings/Worthing Station and the Criminal Investigations Department responded to the area and confirmed the incident.

Ambulance personnel also responded to the scene, examined the body and found no sign of life.

This is murder No. 20 for 2021.

A second man received gunshot injuries to both hands and a wound to the head, suspected to be a graze from a bullet. He was being treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after being taken there by private vehicle.
