Health authorities said on Wednesday that 75 per cent of the 947 people in government isolation facilities with novel coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms were unvaccinated.
The information was contained in a report giving a breakdown of the categories of people in isolation at 2 p.m.
The report stated 122 (13 per cent) people in government isolation facilities were fully vaccinated with one in secondary isolation, where those who are very ill and need close monitoring and treatment are housed, and the rest in tertiary isolation, where patients who are mildly ill or not showing any symptoms of the illness are accommodated.
The report stated there were 43 partially vaccinated people, two of whom were in primary isolation, which is designated for the most severely ill patients, one in secondary isolation and the other 40 in tertiary isolation.
The report added that 23 unvaccinated people were in primary isolation, 31 were in secondary isolation and 653 were in tertiary isolation.
Further, the report stated there were 75 people (eight per cent) whose vaccination status was unknown and all of them were in tertiary isolation.
