Seven cops promoted

Seven police officers – including the lone female, Margaret Stephen – have been promoted to Senior Superintendent, the Royal Barbados Police Force announced on Wednesday.

Stephen, along with John Boyce, John Brathwaite, Peter Gibson, David Griffith, Graham Husbands and David Welch will take up their new positions from October 1.

Commissioner of Police Tyrone Griffith, along with Deputy Commissioner Oral Williams and Assistant Commissioner William Yearwood made the presentation of letters of appointment to the seven officers during a short, formal ceremony in the board room of police headquarters in Roebuck Street.
