Police officers have charged Jee-vad Tevonne Griffith, 26, of Harrisons Tenantry, St Lucy, and Shaquon Rico Tion Goddard, 21, of both Porey Springs, St Thomas and Airlie Tenantry, Cave Hill, St Michael for a number of criminal offences.

The charges are that they, on September 3, 2021, murdered Kemar Grazette; that they on August 31, 2021, unlawfully wounded Carlos Taitt with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him, or to do some other serious bodily harm to Taitt; that they on August 31, 2021, present together with other people, used unlawful violence and their conduct, taken together, was such as would cause a person of reasonable firmness present at the scene to fear for his personal safety.

In addition, both Jee-vad Tevonne Griffith and Shaquon Rico Tion Goddard are charged separately for the offence: that they each on August 31, 2021, used a firearm and did not have a valid licence to do so.

Police said these charges stem from investigations into a reported shooting incident which occurred on August 31, 2021 at Arsenal Playing Field, Jackson, St Michael. Both are scheduled to appear at the District ‘A’ Traffic Court at the Supreme Court Complex, Whitepark Road, St Michael on Thursday, September 30, 2021. (PR)
