The staff at the Winston Scott Polyclinic and extended friends and colleagues within the Ministry of Health and Wellness were plunged into mourning after the sudden passing of a colleague.

Reports reaching the NATION indicate the female staffer, a registered nurse said to be in her 40s, was at work on Friday, but passed away suddenly at home later that day.

Her death forced the closure of the Polyclinic, on Martindale’s Road, today, and the ministry also sent out a press release advising members of the public who had appointments for COVID-19 tests at the polyclinic, to instead go to any of the other testing sites.

These are Brandford Taitt Polyclinic, Black Rock; Eunice Gibson Polyclinic, Warrens, or the main testing site at the Wildey Gymnasium, Wildey, all in St Michael. (BA/PR)
