A flash-flood warning which was issued for Barbados yesterday remains in effect until 6 a.m. Sunday.

A surface to mid-level trough continues to affect the island and is forecast to generate maximum rainfall accumulations of 25 to 75mm in heavy showers.

A flash-flood warning is issued when rapid flooding due to heavy or excessive rainfall in a short period of time (generally less than six hours) is occurring or is imminent in the warning area.

The warning may be discontinued as conditions change. (PR/SAT)
