More expensive Christmas ahead

It could be a rough Christmas for consumers.

With the already severe logistical challenges in global supply chains and transportation expected to worsen leading up to the holiday season, Barbadians are being told to brace for shortages of many goods.

To add to their woes, some price increases could be on the horizon, too.

Chairman of the Retail and Distribution Committee for the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Tomilson Bynoe, put consumers on notice that their holiday shopping bill is likely to be higher this year.  (CLM)
