Healthcare workers at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) will be among the first to receive COVID-19 booster shots.

A memo indicated that staff who received their second dose of Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine about six months ago were now eligible for a booster shot.

“These booster shots will help improve the protection offered from the first 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine,” the memo said.

Administration of the shots was scheduled to begin on Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 3 p.m. in the QEH Auditorium and continue through Friday. (SAT)
