Barbados Under-17 Girls lose to Belize

Barbados suffered an agonising 2-1 defeat against Belize in their opening game of the Concacaf Under-17 Girls at the IMG Academy in Florida.

Lodge School student Kay’Ghun Rouse gave Barbados a well-deserved lead with a fabulous strike in the 42nd minute.

However, Khalydia Velasquez scored twice late on for Belize to inflict a heart-breaking loss on Barbados.

The Barbados Under-17 Girls national team will take on Curaçao on Sunday. (A-GB)
