The beating from the father of a then five-year-old child, whom Oswald DaCosta Forde had kissed, was enough to prevent Forde from going back to her house even in the company of the police.

Yesterday, the now 61-year-old man promised the No. 5 Supreme Court that he would never “do it again”.

Forde, of Lodge Road, Christ Church, pleaded guilty to committing an act of serious indecency on the child on January 12, 2018.

“I am sorry for what I’ve done and I would never do it again in my life,” he said.

Forde, who was represented by attorney Rasheed Belgrave, will be sentenced by Justice Pamela Beckles on Thursday. He has one prior conviction, in 1995, for possession of cannabis. (HLE)
