New CEO of BTMI attends major planning meeting

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley was introduced today to newly appointed chief executive officer of the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI), Jens Thraenhart.

They were introduced by chairman of BTMI Roseanne Myers, and Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Senator Lisa Cummins, following a major planning meeting at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre with dozens of key members of the local private sector.

Minister in the Ministry of Finance, Ryan Straughn was also present.

“Thraenhart, a 26-year veteran in the hospitality industry, takes up the top BTMI post from November 1, 2021, and brings to the job a wealth of experience in a number of international tourism markets, including Canada and Thailand,” according to a statement from Government. (PR)
