Trying to find a job or even going out in public with the facial scarring left by the acid attack from Sherry-Ann Jeanelle Hinds has not been easy, a complainant said yesterday.
“Honestly, it has been rough on me ’cause I haven’t had a job, I haven’t had a stable job since I have been burnt,” Tanya Boyce told the No. 4 Supreme Court.
“I went to many interviews, sent out many applications. When I go into interviews people look at me like . . . ya know? I haven’t had a job. I have to look to do something on my own to make my own money,” she said.
“It was hard. You walking ‘bout; people looking at ya like . . . you know what I mean? I am not an alien. Something only get throw on my face and it’s been rough ’cause I have been home mostly suffering with my kids,” Boyce told the court.
She was giving her victim impact statement when Hinds reappeared in the court for the sentencing phase of her trial. (HLE)
