Prince of Wales to visit Barbados for transition to Republic

The Prince of Wales will visit Barbados to mark the transition to a Republic within the Commonwealth.

A brief statement from Clarence House, which was released through social media a short while ago said that as future Head of the Commonwealth, The Prince has been invited by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley to be guest of honour at the Republic Celebration events.

His Royal Highness will also undertake a short programme of engagements in Barbados.

Mottley and The Prince of Wales were among global leaders at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasglow this week.
