Government is pushing full steam ahead with beautifying Barbados.

Minister of the Environment and National Beautification Adrian “Medic” Forde yesterday rubbished rumours the country was being cleaned and beautified because of the move to republican status or because of the expected visit of Prince Charles.

Forde said Government had been cleaning Barbados since it came to office in 2018 and the beautification was part of that ongoing process.

“There is nothing abnormal about the cleaning that is going on at this specific time or anything. What we are doing is nothing in preparation for any royal visit or any republican status. This is something we have been doing intensely over the last three years since we came to Government to keep Barbados clean.” (RA)
