282 new virus cases

A total of 282 positive coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, 116 males and 166 females, were identified by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Friday, November 12.  The facility conducted 1 668 tests.

Of the new cases, 49 people were under the age of 18, and 233 were 18 years and older.

There were 970 people in isolation facilities, and 6 942 in home isolation.

The public health laboratory has carried out 412 454 tests since February last year and recorded 21 877 cases (10 514 males and 11 363 females) of COVID-19.  There have been 191 deaths.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of persons with at least one dose is 151 530 (66.3 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of people who are fully vaccinated is 132 034 (48.7 per cent of the total population or 57.8 per cent of the eligible population).  The eligible population represents people who are 12 years and older.
