216 new virus cases

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory has recorded 216 new cases – 80 males and 136 females – of coronavirus (COVID-19) on Saturday, November 13. There were 1 446 tests conducted.

Of the new cases, 43 people were under the age of 18, and 173 were 18 years and older.

The number of people in isolation facilities was 975, and in home isolation, 7 365.

Barbados’ confirmed cases of COVID-19 have reached 22 093 (10 594 males and 11 499 females), and 193 people have died from the viral illness, as at November 13.

The public health laboratory has carried out 413 900 tests since February last year.

Under the National COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign, the total number of people with at least one dose is 151 634 (66.4 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of people who are fully vaccinated is 132 284 (48.8 per cent of the total population or 57.9 per cent of the eligible population).
