Amber to give it her all in Colombia

Reigning national women’s cycling champion Amber Joseph is set to be Barbados’ biggest medal hope for the inaugural Junior Pan American Games, which start next Thursday in Cali, Colombia.

Joseph, 21, will be joined by top female tennis player Hannah Chambers to spearhead the Barbadian medal hunt at the Games from November 25 to December 4.

The full contingent is expected to be announced by the Barbados Olympic Association (BOA) this week.

However, NATIONSPORT also understands that table tennis player Kenady King, along with triathlete Sanojah Gilkes and tennis player Stephen Slocombe, are poised to be named in the team. (AGB)
