American visitor Samara Cameisha Kymel Bristol is still listed as missing.

And the Royal Barbados Police Force is dismissing as “reckless and unfortunate”, misinformation that has been circulating on social media platforms over the past 24 hours claiming her body was found.

Police spokesman, acting inspector Rodney Inniss, issued a brief statement to “dismiss the rumours that the Police have recovered a body in connection to this matter”.

“We are encouraging members of the public that they can contact any Police Station with any information pertaining to this matter which may assist with our investigations. We are also advising those persons who set out to deliberately create misleading and untruthful information/stories to desist from such,” he said, advising people to “get their information from official sources which are both reliable and credible”.

Bristol, 30, was staying at Airy Cot, St Thomas, and was reported missing by her mother Samantha Bristol of Queen’s, New York.

Samara is between 5’7” and 5’8” tall, stoutly built and full breasted. She is light brown in complexion and walks erectly. She speaks with an American accent.

Her nose is pierced once, her ears have multiple piercings and her hair is in black box braids. Samara has a slightly long forehead, oval shaped eyes which appear to be puffy, a small mouth and lips and straight teeth.

It is not known what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance.

She was last heard by her mother between 6:45 and 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Samara Cameisha Kymel Bristol is asked to contact District D Police Station at 4191726/1729, Police emergency 211 or any police station. (PR/SAT)
