Andre Shamar Freeman, a “new and reformed person”, will have to wait until the New Year to know his fate.

Freeman, 34, a labourer, of Crusher Site Road, Prospect, St James, who is representing himself in a burglary case, had vowed to “work by the sweat of his brow” during his submissions on sentencing.

Freeman had pleaded guilty to entering the house of Sabeeha Kazi-Kellman, as a trespasser, and stealing a laptop, two pairs of sunglasses, four pairs of earrings, five rings, a bracelet, and $50 cash for a total value of $14 380, on July 28, 2018.

The thief also admitted entering Ramona Jordon’s house and stealing a $30 000 watch, two bottles of cologne, $400 cash and a pack of boxers, all valued $30 875 between September 5 and 6, 2018.

Some of the items were recovered. (RA)
