Stuart Maloney is the provisional champion driver of the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) after winning in both directions of the double-header sprint event this past Saturday at Bushy Park, driving his Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo.

Maloney got the nod ending the season equal on 73 points with Chris Hoad and the BRC’s tiebreak rules were applied.

Hoad had to be satisfied with being the provisional Clubman 2 champion in his rookie season in the championship.

“The car was good and reliable, which made for an overall good day,” Maloney said. “It was good having (brother) Mark out as the competition with family is great.

“Still, whoever is competing, it doesn’t change things much because there’s only one way to go – get out there and drive your best.” (PR/AR)
