UPDATE: Woman succumbs to injuries

A woman who received multiple injuries about the body during an altercation on Saturday around 8:30 a.m. passed away early this morning.

Police identified the deceased as 27-year-old Shanice Miller of Kensington New Road, St Michael.

Police confirmed that two women were involved in the altercation along Upper James Street near its junction with Synagogue Lane, Bridgetown, resulting in one being injured.

Miller reportedly ran to the nearby Central Police Station on Coleridge Street and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where she underwent surgery.
