Death of dad rocks Allmans

The death of Denzil Allman, victim of a vehicular smash-up on Wednesday night, has shattered the spirit of his family.

According to police reports, the elderly man’s car was involved in a collision with a police vehicle around 8:30 p.m. along Black Rock Main Road, St Michael, near the Fairfield Road junction. Both vehicles were extensively damaged.

Allman was headed towards Deacons Road from Fairfield, while police were travelling in an easterly direction from Lower Black Rock Main Road towards Upper Black Rock Road.

He died on the spot, while police officers complained of various injuries and were taken away for medical attention.

Yesterday, at Allman’s residence in No. 102 Cherry Drive, Oxnards, St James, his son Charles said younger brother Adrian and his mother Marcia, who was married to Allman for the past 46 years, were taking it the hardest. (SB)
