The Salvation Army has so far only managed to raise just over half of its Christmas kettle target of $700 000.

However, chairman of its advisory board, Paul Bernstein, said they expect to meet the goal, just like last year.

“We reached our target last year and we have confidence in the public of Barbados that they will come forward in these latter two weeks and help us achieve our target,” he added.
