Man admits to wounding friend

Two slaps with the flat side of a sword and then a stab to the abdomen.

These were the injuries Ferdinand Alexander Junior Codogan (as spelt on the indictment) inflicted on a friend in apparent retaliation for her chastising him about how he treated his girlfriend.

So said counsel for the State Danielle Mottley as she outlined the facts in the No. 5 Supreme Court last Friday.

Codogan, of Fustic Village, St Lucy, had pleaded guilty to the lesser, alternate count of unlawfully and maliciously wounding Aisha Griffith on November 22, 2017. He had denied the first count of wounding Griffith with intent.
