Three of the upcoming West Indies cricket stars have benefitted from a sponsorship of gear as they warm up toward the ICC Under-19 World Cup which will be played in the Caribbean early next year.
Captain Ackeem Auguste, along with wicketkeeper/batsman Rivaldo Clarke and vice-captain Giovonte Depeiza, who is a hard-hitting batsman and left-arm spinner have gained a donation of bats, pads and gloves, thanks to Khatri Sports out of England and Bats Engineer from India.
The sponsorship has been organised by former Police cricketer and Barbados youth team manager Norman Puckerin.
“It is good that these lads can acquire this sponsorship as they go on to represent the region in the upcoming World Cup. We are optimistic that they will kick on to not only do well in the World Cup but they will advance into the senior West Indies team. (KB)
