Jealous ex-boyfriend remanded

Loud wails reverberated in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court as a man accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s house to snoop on her and her male friend was remanded to HMP Dodds Wednesday.

Decoursey Alexander Smith had just listened as Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes scolded him and other men for using “material things to maintain a link” and for not letting go after relationships were over.

“You all are in bad relationships and, instead of exiting the relationship, you all are going on in relationships figuring they will get better,” Chief Magistrate Weekes said.

“Sometimes I think men need to take a time out and a long time out by themselves. Too many people are exiting a relationship and getting straight back into one. They don’t even know what happen to the first one,” he said. (HLE)
