Woman is first COVID-19 death for 2022

The first COVID-19 casualty for the year is a 75-year-old Barbadian woman.

She passed away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital’s Accident and Emergency Department on Monday, January 3. She was unvaccinated.

Her death brings the number of fatalities from the virus to 263.
