APP postpones launch

The public will have to wait until tomorrow evening to meet the candidates contesting the January 19 General Election on the Alliance Party for Progress’ (APP) ticket.

This was after the virtual presentation scheduled for last night was postponed.

The party, which is led by the Opposition Leader Bishop Joseph Atherley, had intended to present the 20 candidates, including seven newcomers, via its Facebook page.

In a short statement, APP’s campaign manager Ambrose Grosvenor said: “The Alliance Party for Progress thought it prudent to postpone this evening’s virtual presentation of its candidates owing to there being logistical and technical difficulties. The launch is now scheduled for 6 p.m., Tuesday, January 11, 2022.” (GBM)
