Motorists should expect traffic delays in parts of St Philip tonight as two major General Election meetings will be held in that parish.

The Democratic Labour Party will be first out of the blocks at 6:30 p.m. with the launch of the manifesto at the Wayne Daniel Pavilion in Brereton.

The Barbados Labour Party will showcase its candidates for St Philip at the Emerald City car park in Six Roads, starting at 7.

Motorists should expect some delays as a result of traffic congestion and should proceed with caution when approaching and travelling through these areas. Personnel from The Barbados Police Service will be present to assist with the regulation of traffic and all motorists must comply with the directions of the police officers who will be in uniform.

Meanwhile, members of the travelling public who are not attending the meetings but must pass through these areas are asked to use alternative routes, where possible. (PR/SAT)
