Two men were remanded to HMP Dodds after being charged in connection with the December murder of a part-time Public Service Vehicle (PSV) driver.

They are Daquan Henrique Diangelo Gibbons, 23 years, of Fryers Well, Checker Hall, St Lucy; and Darius Harim Norville, 22, of Laynes Gap, Martindales Road, St Michael.

They were charged in the murder of Victor Walton on December 10, 2021 at Husbands Road, St Lucy.

Gibbons and Norville appeared before Magistrate Wayne Clarke in the Holetown Magistrates’ Court on Thursday and were not required to plead to the indictable offence. Both were remanded into custody at Dodds Prison, Dodds, St Philip and are scheduled to reappear on February 10th, 2022.

Victor “Preacher Man” Walton, 56, passed away on December 10 after being on life support for nine days.

The part-time PSV operator, usually working the Oistins, Christ Church route, crashed into a tree at the junction of Maycocks and Husbands on December 1. After he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment, two bullets were found in his head. (PR/SAT)
