Two women succumb to COVID-19; toll at 271

Two women, aged 59 and 97, are the most recent people to succumb to coronavirus (COVID-19).

Both women died on Monday, January 17, at the Harrison’s Point Isolation Facility in St Lucy. The 59-year-old was unvaccinated, while the 97-year-old was fully vaccinated.

Their deaths bring the toll from the virus to 271.

Minister of Health and Wellness, The Most Honourable Jeffrey Bostic, has extended condolences to their loved ones. (BGIS)
