Eight adults and four minors have been displaced after a fire at Lightfoot Lane, The City.

Five houses were either destroyed or partially damaged.

Member of Parliament Corey Lane and Democratic Labour Party candidate for The City, Kemar Stuart, were on hand to ensure the families were directed to the relevant agencies.

Lane appealed to corporate Barbados and members of the public to donate items the families would need “to feel comfortable”.

Five appliances from the Barbados Fire Service, including a hazmat appliance, under the instruction of Divisional Officer Errol Gaskin, responded to the blaze. (RA)
