Rudy Lovell is the new president of the Barbados Union on Teachers (BUT).

On Saturday night, he earned 244 votes to Dwane Goddard’s 63.

Voting was held online and at the BUT’s Merryhill, Welches, St Michael headquarters.

The post of president became vacant after Pedro Shepherd resigned on January 4 to run as the Democratic Labour Party candidate for St Michel South East in the January 19 General Election. (SAT)
