Bodie Tap looks a sure bet

The class of Bodie Tap should see him triumph in today’s 4:55 p.m. feature event, the Black History Month Handicap over 1 100 metres, at the Garrison Savannah.

The bay horse, owned by Mark Goodridge and trained by Rommel Lovell, will have jockey Rickey Walcott in the irons and is the standout in this sprint for four-year-old and older horses rated 140-120 and below. He is rated 126.

However, there are a few glaring negatives in Bodie Tap’s résumé. He has never won a sprint race and has not been seen on the racetrack in over eight months.

While these two variables make him vulnerable, the closest rated horse to him is stablemate Radial Flyer at 111. (LY)
