UPDATE: Police probe fatal collision involving motorcyclist

Police confirmed that a motorcyclist who was involved in a collision around 10:55 a.m. today has died.

Police and emergency personnel were on the scene, where the motorcyclist reportedly struck a wall in the area of Belle Gully Road, St Michael. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The person’s identity is unknown at this stage.

“We have cordoned the scene and have redirected traffic away from the area. We are also requesting that motorists avoid the area if possible,” a statement from police said.

This represents the fifth road fatality from four road traffic collisions.
