Death shock for family

The grieving family of Ashley Kadisha Kirton is questioning reports that she may have killed herself.

Police said the 28-year-old wheelchair user was found in her Valerie High Rise, Brittons Hill, St Michael apartment hanging by a piece of string around her neck while lying across her wheelchair.

They said they responded about 3:35 p.m. and were treating the case as an unnatural death.

The mood was sombre yesterday in Bonnetts, Brittons Hill, where Ashley once lived with her mother Lorna Kirton and grandmother Janet Kirton.
