Man succumbs to gun shot injuries

One man is dead after a shooting incident at Bridge Gap, Black Rock, St Michael on Friday.

He has been identified as Dawson Herbert, 32 years, of Chapman Lane, in the same parish.

Police say Herbert was shot in the left side of the face while sitting in a car at Bridge Gap around 8:21 p.m. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in critical condition in a private vehicle, but succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical treatment around 4:40 a.m. on Saturday
