The man who was viciously attacked by two dogs in his neighbourhood last Saturday says he fears returning there.

He has joined with other Maynards Ridge, St Peter residents in calling for the dogs and their owners to be brought to justice, as several other people were said to be victims of canine attacks in recent years.

Elton Hall, 62, made that plea during a telephone interview yesterday from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), where he was being treated for injuries to the hands, legs and near the stomach.

“When I leave the hospital I don’t even feel like going back to that same district because I am going to be in fear. I don’t want to have to butt up on those dogs again if they are brought back out there in a few weeks when things quiet down,” Hall told the Weekend Nation.

He was too distraught to recount the details of the incident which took place near the intersection of Maynards main road and Valley View, where Wayne Griffith and fellow residents had to chase the dogs away. (TG)
