The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) today said that one of the pumps at a St Peter station has been taken offline.

A statement from BWA said this action was taken to facilitate urgent repairs to the connected pipeline supplying the distribution network.

As a result, residents in Baywoods, Benny Hall, Black Bess, Boscobelle, Castle Tenantry, Diamond Corner, Four Hills, Gays Village, Mount Stepney, Rock Hall, St. Silas Heights, The Baltic, Water Hall Terrace and surrounding areas may be affected by low pressure or a water outage.

BWA tankers are currently assisting customers in these districts and will continue to service the areas while repairs continue. (PR)
