COVID-19 Update for April 14

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified 392 new COVID-19 cases, 159 males and 233 females, from the 1 384 tests carried out on Thursday, April 14.

The cases comprised 60 people under the age of 18, and 332 who were 18 years and older.

There were 74 people in isolation facilities, while 2 860 were in home isolation.

As at April 14, there were 381 COVID-19 related deaths.

The public health laboratory has conducted 630 706 tests since February 2020, and recorded 64 177 COVID-19 cases (29 617 males and 34 560 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of people with at least one dose is 161 488 (70.7 per cent of the eligible population).  The number of fully vaccinated is 151 608 (55.9 per cent of the total population or 66.4 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older. (BGIS)
