UPDATE: Murder victim identified

The man who was shot and killed earlier Saturday has been identified as 25-year-old Jerome Stuart of 8th Avenue New Orleans, St Michael.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after being shot in Baxter’s Road, The City.

Two men, one 39, the other 22, were also injured in the incident. Their names have not been released to the public.

Police say around 12:02 p.m., they received a report of gunshots being fired in the area near Jordan’s supermarket and two people were injured.

Investigations are continuing. (PR/SAT)
