Jamaican sprinting sensation Tina Clayton became the Caribbean’s fastest girl after winning gold in the Under-20 girls’ 100-metre final at the National Stadium here in Kingston, Jamaica, on Saturday night.

Clayton, the reigning World Under-20 champion, stormed to victory in a stunning time of 11.22 seconds.

With the Legendary Usain Bolt, who is arguably the greatest sprinter the world has ever seen in the crowd, Clayton sent the hometown faithful into a frenzy with yet another breathtaking performance.

Her twin sister Tia snatched silver in 11.30 seconds ahead of Trinidad and Tobago’s Shaniqua Bascome (11.57)

Keliza Smith (11.58) of Guyana finished just outside the medals in fourth while Barbadian duo Rickyla Fagan (11.76) and Kishawna Niles (11.77) were fifth and sixth, respectively. (AGB)
