A derelict house at 8th Ave. Harts Gap, Christ Church, was destroyed by fire earlier today.

Sub-officer Kelan Mc Calla of the Barbados Fire Service said they received the call around 1:19 p.m. and responded with a team comprising Station Officer Mc Allister and nine fire officers.

Residents told Nation News the house was previously occupied by an elderly couple, both of whom passed away some time ago. It has occasionally been occupied by homeless people. (SAT)
