Popular blogger Stephanie Chase of The Chase Files could find herself before the court facing contempt charges after one of her posts came close to causing a mistrial in an indecent assault matter.

Justice Pamela Beckles ordered an investigation into the posts, which were ordered deleted, after the blogger was taken to task when she was hauled before the No. 5 Supreme Court.

“We are going to canvass this now because I want Ms Chase to understand the seriousness of this matter. And I am going to say this now. I want this matter to be thoroughly investigated. We need an outcome. Even if it takes this case to get a ruling from somewhere, I want this to go to the highest end, so that once and for all people understand the seriousness of what has happened here,” the judge declared.

“The reality is that this could end up causing exactly what you didn’t want, further delay should a mistrial have to be declared.”

The judge’s comments came during the just concluded trial of Rico Renaldo Edwards. (HLE)
