Chief executive officer (CEO) of the Barbados Hotel & Tourism Association (BHTA) Rudy Grant is stepping down.

Chairman Renée Coppin announced on Thursday that Grant, who has held the position for the past six years, is leaving at the end of June “to pursue other career opportunities” but will be “integral” in the recruitment of his successor.

She added the BHTA board will be appointing an interim CEO during that period of transition.

Coppin thanked Grant for bringing “a high level of professionalism and dedication” to the BHTA, directing and managing its activities “to ensure that its strategic goals and the relevant needs of members were met”. (GC/PR)
